I don't know if that's real, but after seeing TSO's light show/production, that would take a professional company to coordinate and A LOT of money. There were 115 production people behind TSO's Winnipeg show.
Tom has already replicated the whole thing... All he needed was 6 flashlights, 3 different colours of construction paper, 2 circuit boards, and a whole lot of batteries.
Of course, cross-linking the flashlights and music was pretty easy -- just a simple fourier-transform circuit and a bandpass trigger-and-hold to an ssr, to modulate the LVDC sources. Picking the construction paper colour was the major issue.
